In this series, we explore the work of TBA21–Academy; a leading international cultural ecosystem, established in 2011 by Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza and Markus Reymann as part of the TBA21 Foundation. This year, the Academy celebrates its 10th anniversary of forging productive relationships between science and other knowledge systems to foster a deeper relationship to the Ocean through the lens of art. The Academy does this through commissions, exhibitions, events and research programmes, to which SEISMA Magazine has been given access to select visual art, music, film, theatre, dance and other events which reflect on how the scientific and oceanic come together now.
